What Theodore said about accountability and inclusivity is so true. We have to be where the conversations are happening. Augusta from Nigeria
Augusta27
@Theodore @ Lindi I agree with you all developments will not progress until we start to address climate change issues that are affecting us. As long as we are polluting there won’t be any sector to survive because economy will be crippled due to devastating impacts on climate change. We as youth need more platform like these to connect and communicate great ideas to change our future.

Let's use some of the brilliant ideas we have learnt here to write a proposal to government in our localities. Highlight the importance of allowing people in local areas have access to the internet. We should not just make this an academic exercise. Let's take some practical steps on this. Write to organizations or individuals that are interested in expanding internet access in those areas. We also need to keep the discussion going on our different social media platforms

How can we deal with patriarchy and social structures in order to achieve equality and equity?
Ernestina Mambono Nyaaba
@Emestina Mambono Nyaaba: Excellent question! Social norms, such as the patriarchal ones, can shift in response to market incentives, legal reforms, enhanced social support and services. In WBG’s report “Voice and Agency: Empowering Women and Girls for Shared Prosperity”, researchers introduced examples in Bangladesh, where “the increasing value placed on women as economic earners explains why parents now educate their daughters as well as their sons”, and in countries where legal reforms are changing norms about homosexuality. Check the report via the below link to see what more should be done to change gender inequality.

Qiyan
These discussions are very vital in these times. Apart from its role in limiting equitable growth, we should emphasize the importance of all forms of inclusions in the society (particularly in SSA countries) in instigating conflicts. A case study indicates that there is an increasing feeling of marginalization and exclusion held by some regions in Nigeria. I think more is required in addressing these issues as they could potentially trigger ethno-motivated killings and even civil wars, which defeats the entire struggle of equitable growth in the global scale. Thank you. Ifeanyi from Hungary

I agree with O'Neall, inclusion is a great part of what needs to be addressed with the most urgency. Based on personal experience, I was accepted to a business school in the US last month but I haven't been able to pay the confirmation deposit. My plan was to export a certain agricultural commodity (purple garlic) that i had spent close to seven months actively working to produce; at the very last stage i failed to make the sale due to the lack of properly functioning systems to help youth in terms of financial inclusion in sectors such as agriculture and food production.
Ryan McEnery Timothy
i really feel inspired for this amazing summit that is teaching us to put our efforts into develomental projects as the youth

How can we effectively deal with Gender Based Violence as the numbers are keeping on increasing and minority groups are the worst affected?
Chakanetsa Ruzvidzo
@Chakanetsa Ruzvidzo: A research by Abhilasha Sahay, an economist with the Africa Gender Innovation Lab at the WBG, suggests that “public activism and greater dialogue on Gender-based Violence (GBV) can increase reporting. It indicates that social movements could influence and potentially even overcome stigma associated with GBV via raising awareness alongside making the knowledge of sexual violence public”. Check out this blog to find out more about this research blogs.worldbank.org/...
