Xavier Devictor is an Adviser to the Fragility, Conflict, and Violence Group at the World Bank Group. Previously, he served as Co-Director for the WDR 2023 and as a Manager in the Fragility, Conflict, and Violence Group at the World Bank. In these roles, he led strategic, analytical, and operational work on forced displacement. Xavier joined the World Bank as a Young Professional and has broad operational experience across regions, including as Country Manager for Poland and the Baltic Countries. He has worked in South Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and the Balkans. Earlier in his career, Xavier worked for UNHCR in the former Yugoslavia, where he managed humanitarian programs and led humanitarian convoys into conflict areas. Xavier is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, in Paris, France.
