Tarek el Molla was appointed as Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources on September 19th 2015. He worked previously for the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) which he joined in January 2011, and where he held the positions of Deputy CEO for Foreign Trade, Deputy CEO for Internal Trade, Deputy CEO for Operations and finally CEO. From 2008 till end of 2010, Mr. el Molla worked for Chevron South Africa, where he held the position of Regional Manager in charge of South & Central Africa's Commercial & Industrial Business. Tarek el Molla has a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering which he obtained from Cairo University in 1986.
