In 2016, Rémy Rioux took over as Chief Executive Officer of Agence Française de Développement, whose mandate was expanded and benefited from increased resources. He was reappointed in 2019 and again in 2022. In 2017, Rémy Rioux was also elected Chair of the International Development Finance Club (IDFC), a group gathering 26 of the largest national and regional development banks in the world and the largest provider of public development and climate finance.
