Mr. Zou Yuxiao was born in January 1954. He studied in Beijing Institute of Foreign Language from 1974 to 1978, and majored in International Relations and International Politics in Canada from 1981 to 1983.
He worked in the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs, the Permanent Mission of China to the United Nations Office at Geneva, the Embassy of China in Nigeria and South Africa in his career. He was Ambassador of China to Liberia from June 2007 to April 2011, and Ambassador to Zambia from April 2011 to August 2014. He was appointed as Ambassador for Affairs of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) in May 2017.
