Minister Bustamante Suárez is a lawyer with a Masters degree in Public Administration and Management. She has more than 15 years of experience in public management, working mainly on issues relating to education, children and youth, work and employment, social development, at-risk populations and international development. She has extensive work experience in advisory and high-level management in the public sector and in international negotiations, as well as in the design and implementation of social programs and projects.
She was part of the founding team of the Ministry of Social Inclusion and Development, working as the Executive Director of the National Food Assistance Program (PRONAA), headed up the Special Commission that was responsible for closing down this program. Following this, she was the Vice Minister of Social Services of the Ministry of Social Inclusion and Development.
She has served as an adviser for the senior management of the Ministries of Labor and Employment Promotion, as well as for the Minister of Women. In the educaiton sector, she was in charge of planning and monitoring the education Project for rural áreas. Similarly, she worked as the Director of Management and International Negotiations for the Agency of International Cooperation of Peru (APCI).
