Noreyana Fernando is External Affairs Officer for development finance in the World Bank’s the ECR Multilateral and International Affairs team. She was previously with the World Bank Human Development communications team, where she supported communications for the Human Capital Project, HD Vice President and cross-cutting projects. She was the Partnerships Lead for the 2019 World Bank Youth Summit. Before joining the Bank, she was a fellow at the Tow Center for Digital Journalism at Columbia University. A Sri Lankan national, Noreyana holds a Master of Science degree in journalism from the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism and has worked as a TV/radio reporter in Colombo.
