Nidhi Pant is the Co-Founder of Science For Society (S4S Technologies) at the intersection of agriculture, gender, clean energy, and financial inclusion, with a focus on building resilient livelihoods for smallholder women farmers.
Miss Pant has been instrumental in building models that make women farmers more climate resilient by addressing two of the biggest challenges in agriculture: post-harvest food losses and income insecurity . Through S4S, Nidhi promotes the use of renewable energy powered food preservation and processing technologies that allow farmers to reduce waste, extend the shelf life of their produce, and access new markets.
S4S enables women farmers to double their incomes, move out of poverty, and gain dignity as micro-entrepreneurs and food processors. This model not only democratizes access to food processing but also enhances climate resilience by reducing dependence on erratic harvest cycles, cutting post-harvest losses, and promoting a low-carbon transition in agriculture - creating a more sustainable food system.
