Nicole Jeanine Lydie Roboty Mbou holds a degree from the University of Paris Pantheon-Sorbonne and the Center for Financial, Economic and Banking Studies (Cefeb). On July 17, 2020, she was appointed Deputy Minister for Economy, a ministry in which she has spent most of her career. From 2013 to 2018, she was Director of Negotiations and Monitoring at the Directorate General of Debt from which she was appointed Deputy Director General. On December 9, 2020, she was appointed full-fledged Minister of Economy and Recovery, the first woman to hold this position in Gabon.
