Meriem works as an External Affairs and Communications Lead in the Sustainable Development Group of the World Bank Group. She has over 15 years of experience in strategic and crisis communications, public relations and reputational management. Having worked across several regions and globally she has focused on a wide range of issues: big infrastructure projects, energy, water resources management, behavior change and health operations. She is committed to making communications work for development and social change. Her previous work included working in Central Asia and in the Middle East as a television producer and news anchor. Currently Meriem supports the World Bank Group’s efforts to foster external dialogue on water-related investments, analytical work, multi-donor trust funds and partnerships. Meriem is also an aspiring photographer, intrigued by simplicity and passionate about making information more easily accessible.
