Megha Mukim is a senior economist at the World Bank Group, author of several flagship reports, including ‘Thriving – Making Cities Green, Resilient and Inclusive in a Changing Climate’ and ‘Competitive Cities for Jobs and Growth’. She is a Visiting Professor at the School of Economics and Finance at Wits University, South Africa. She has taught topics in development at the School of Advanced International Studies in Washington DC, and at Columbia University in New York. She has a PhD from the London School of Economics and her graduate degrees are from the universities of London and Cambridge. Her professional experience has been accumulated at the US International Trade Commission, World Trade Organization, World Health Organization, and at Yale and Columbia University. She has over 15 years of experience working on topics including, but not limited to, economic geography, trade, climate, industrial development, and poverty.
