Malte Plewa is currently working as a Junior Professional Officer in the Climate-Smart Agriculture team of the Agriculture and Food Global Practice at the World Bank. In his current role, he works on improving the climate performance of World Bank agriculture and food operations and serves as the focal point for greenhouse gas accounting, among others. Prior to joining the World Bank, Malte world for five years at the German development agency GIZ, where he was responsible for supporting countries to transition to sustainable fertilizer production and use. Malte is a contributing author of the Recipe for a Livable Planet: Achieving Net Zero Emissions in the Agrifood System report. Malte holds a B.Sc. in Environmental and Resource Management and a M.Sc. in Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation.
