Uniminuto University is a private not-for-profit educational institution and an IFC client. It began operations in 1992 with 240 students, and today has over 120,000. Prior to becoming Rector, Mr. Lopez served as Advisory General Rector, Uniminuto and before that, was Rector at the University of Ibague for 15 years. An Electronic Engineer by training, he has a Masters in Science & Technology from Aston University (UK) and numerous leadership and innovation certifications including from Harvard and MIT. He is President, Development Fund for Higher Education in Colombia and has served on the boards of several Colombian universities. Mr. Lopez has received many public distinctions in Colombia.
