Dr Lefulesele Lebesa is the Director of Agricultural Research in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security in Lesotho. She had her academic trainings at National University of Lesotho, the University of Pretoria, and the International Centre for Insect Physiology and Ecology (ICIPE). Her research focuses on biodiversity and pest management for Food and Nutrition Security. She serves as the Chair of the Southern Africa Development Community Plant Genetic Resources Centre (SPGRC) Board and a chair of the Steering Committee of the SADC Crop Wild Relatives Project collaborates nationally and regionally on the impacts of climate change in Agriculture. She served as scientist and core national lead in the preparation of Lesotho Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) Profile and Investment Plan, and has represented the country in fora designed to upscale CSA practices in Lesotho.
