Ms. Kirsi Madi became the UN Assistant Secretary-General and Deputy Executive Director of UN Women for Resource Management, Sustainability, and Partnerships in December 2023. With over 30 years of UN experience, mainly at UNICEF, she has a broad background in international development, humanitarian action, and gender equality. Madi has held various senior roles, including UNICEF’s Chief of Staff and Director of the Executive Director's Office. She also led the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction from 2016 to 2019, implementing significant organizational changes.
