Henri Yav Mulang is the Minister of Finance of the Democratic Republic of Congo. He also serves as a Governor at the Eastern and Southern African Trade and Development Bank and as a Member of the Board of Governors at African Development Bank. He has previously served as Deputy Director of Cabinet for Economic Affairs and Reconstruction at the Presidency where he focused on tax reform and improvement of the business environment. He has also served as Director of Studies at the Federation of Chambers of Commerce of Central African States and as a technical adviser to the World Trade Organization. Since taking his post as minister in 2014, he has focussed his efforts on maintaining macroeconomic stability, prudent management of public resources, and rationalization of expenditures in favour of social sectors including health and education.
