Hania is Manager for Climate Strategy and Business Development at the International Finance Corporation, the private sector arm of the World Bank Group. Prior to this role, Hania was Assistant to World Bank Group President David Malpass, where she advised the President on a range of strategic and policy matters, including infrastructure, energy, and climate. Before joining the Office of the President, Hania spent 12 years as an investment professional at IFC’s Infrastructure Department, where she structured debt and equity investments in energy sector projects, including renewables and gas-to-power. She also worked in the energy practice at Morgan Stanley and at the International Monetary Fund. Hania holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
