Gisele has been working with the International Finance Corporation for over 16 years focused on emerging market private sector debt and equity sustainable finance solutions, where climate change and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) are at the forefront of their finance and advisory strategic approach. She has worked in climate change, mobilizing syndicated debt solutions, infrastructure finance, and public-private partnership (PPP) advisory services. She is leading climate change efforts as Global Climate Head for PPP Advisory and Infrastructure. In PPP Advisory services she works with public-sector clients to structure PPPs to crowd in private sector investors across infrastructure sectors and beyond embedding climate change solutions for both mitigation of GHGs and building resilience.
She has over 25 years of emerging market and finance experience including work with other multilateral and regional development banks- Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)- as well as international commercial banking with Mizuho Bank, and international consulting with Price Waterhouse Coopers (PWC) based in Washington DC, London, New York and Buenos Aires.
