Eldar Saetre has been president and chief executive officer of Statoil since 15 October 2014.
He joined Statoil in 1980 and has carried out a variety of roles including Executive vice president and CFO from October 2003 until December 2010 and Executive vice president for Marketing, processing & renewable energy from 2011 until 2014.
Saetre is a Norwegian citizen and resident, and holds an MA in business economics from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH) in Bergen.
