Douglas L. Peterson serves as senior advisor to S&P Global and is a member of the company’s Board of Directors. He was President and Chief Executive Officer of S&P Global from 2013 to 2024; during his tenure as CEO, the company’s market cap increased from $16 billion to more than $150 billion. He also serves on the Board of the UN Global Compact, and in 2021 he led a workstream of the G7’s Impact Taskforce to mobilize private capital through consistent global standards for sustainability. Before joining S&P Global, Douglas was the Chief Operating Officer of Citibank. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an undergraduate degree from Claremont McKenna College.
