Chinwe Binitie is Co-Head of Partnerships at the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), a member of the World Bank Group, where she directs and oversees MIGA’s partnerships strategy and manages MIGA’s relationships across the World Bank Group institutions and with multilateral institutions and other members of the international development community, as well as the private sector. Prior to her current position, Chinwe was Senior Counsel at MIGA for eight years, advising on guarantee transactions and dispute resolution with host governments, and managing institutional legal issues.
Chinwe joined MIGA in 2012 from the U.S. Department of Energy where she worked as a Senior Attorney with the Loan Programs Office, financing renewable energy infrastructure projects using innovative technology. She began her career at Cleary Gottlieb law firm in New York where she advised on mergers and acquisitions, corporate and project financings, and structured transactions.
Chinwe has a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and a B.S. from Cornell University. She is admitted to the bars of New York and the District of Columbia.
