Adeyinka Onabolu is a Senior Advisor on Food Security and Nutrition at the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) and provides policy advisory support to the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in Nigeria, a role she has held since June 2016. Her role harnesses Government, private sector, and development partners’ efforts to reduce malnutrition and food insecurity in the country and promotes the recognition that the nutrition challenge is multi-faceted, and that actions to address them are paramount to efforts to reduce poverty and drive sustainable economic development in Nigeria. Prior to that Dr. Onabolu served as Head of Programmes for WaterAid in Nigeria, and as a Zonal Manager and Associate Director of Programs for FHI360 in Nigeria. She holds a PhD in International Health from the Karolinska Institutet in Sweden, an MSc in Food Technology, and a BSc in Human Nutrition from the University of Ibadan.
