Is the Nation-State the Enemy of Global Equality?
Cross-border labor mobility could be, on the face of it, the most potent force for global equality. This suggests nation states are the enemy of global equity. At the same time, rapid economic growth and development has historically required strong, healthy nation states. This lecture will discuss the benefits and limits of cross-border labor mobility in light of this dilemma.
