Ralitsa Vassileva is Director of Communications at Sustainia, a global strategic and digital advisory group for developing strategic investments that meet U.N. 2030 goals. The former CNN anchor leads Sustainia's presence in the media, to show how innovative ideas can transform social problems into profitable business opportunities. Sustainia has developed The Global Opportunity Explorer, a unique platform demonstrating the best business practices to advance U.N Sustainable Development Goals. Vassileva is a Moderator and Speaker at global forums on important topics including sustainable development, women's issues and international affairs. She grew up in Bulgaria and, as a young journalist, helped introduce freedom of the press after the Berlin Wall fell. Her reporting on Bulgaria led to work as an anchor for CNN International. Vassileva anchored daily and breaking news for CNN's global audience. Based in the US, she also reported from key spots around the world. Prior to joining Sustainia in April of this year, Vassileva was U.S. Bureau News Director of BITV (Bulgarian International TV) where she managed network US news coverage and reported major stories.
