Sergio Venegas Marin is a Young Professional in the World Bank Group’s Education Global Practice. He works primarily on projects related to measurement and those involving effective approaches to improve instruction in the classroom. On the measurement front, Sergio helps lead the work on the Global Education Policy Dashboard and the EdTech Readiness Index. On improving instruction, Sergio works on developing practical global public goods that can help countries leverage effective structured pedagogy and appropriate language of instruction policies. At the intersection of measurement and practice, he works on the Accelerator Program. Prior to joining the World Bank, Sergio worked at a public consulting firm, where he focused on issues affecting youth and their families; in particular, issues related to childcare, child welfare services, education, at risk youth, health care access and reform, and services for people with disabilities. Sergio holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master in Public Affairs from Princeton University.
