Sanja Kapetina is the Head of Department for Secondary Energy and Projects at the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina. She is in charge of implementing EU Energy and Climate Regulations in Bosnia and Herzegovina. As such, she is involved in activities related to the fulfilment of BiH obligations defined by the various international agreements, with a particular focus on energy efficiency, renewable energy and climate, as well as other international agreements in these areas (Energy Community Treaty, Paris Agreement, IRENA, Union for the Mediterranean, EUSAIR, UNECE, etc.).

Sanja has extensive experience in creating and defining energy policies of Bosnia and Herzegovina in terms of harmonizing relevant national legislation with the EU acquis. Furthermore, she is an active member of several important working groups, such as the Renewable Energy Coordination Group, Energy Efficiency Coordination Group and Energy and Climate Committee established within the Energy Community Secretariat. She is a Bureau Member for Group of Experts on Energy Efficiency and Group of Experts on Renewable Energy established within the UNECE Committee on Sustainable Energy and a member of the Union for the Mediterranean energy platforms. Sanja holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
