Out of 30 years, Manu has worked for 15 years in energy sector and has lead path-breaking innovative projects in solar energy.

His 750MW Rewa Project is an inflection point in the history of solar energy in India, being the first project to break grid-parity. The project has been awarded World Bank Group’s President’s Award. Case study on the project is being used in Harvard and Singapore Management University.  It is the only project in India supplying power to an institutional customer - Delhi Metro is running on this project.

His solar rooftop projects have achieved the lowest tariff in the country. He is presently working with NITI Aayog to set up solar rooftop projects in health institutions all over the country without any investment by the beneficiary/government.

Prior to renewable energy, he steered his state to 24x7 power supply.

Before that, he worked in Government of India and looked after natural gas.
