Katty’s career with the BBC began in Zimbabwe in 1990. She then went on to work as a BBC correspondent in London, and later Tokyo. In 1996, Katty came to Washington where she has reported on presidential elections, the 9/11 attacks and the economic downturn. She is the anchor of the award winning newscast BBC World News America. In addition she appears on Morning Joe and is a regular guest host of the Diane Rehm show. Along with co-author Claire Shipman she has also written the New York Times best-sellers Womenomics and The Confidence Code.
