Jawhratelkmal Kanu is the Founding member: Sudanese Women Economists Association (SWEA). She is an economist with interests in political economy, regional cooperation, and development economics. Jawhara has been working with institutes focusing on Sudan including British Council, as well as those regional organizations such as United Nations Economic Commission for Africa. She is also a Co-founder at Hiwarat Podcast and serves within many community-led initiatives.
