Gaëlle Olivier is the Chief Executive Officer, General Insurance, AXA Asia, based at the regional head office in Hong Kong.
Gaëlle oversees all General Insurance operations in Southeast Asia including Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia as well as in Hong Kong, China and India.
Prior to her appointment to this position at AXA Asia in April 2011, Gaëlle was Head of Communications and Corporate Responsibility for the AXA Group based in Paris, a role she held since 2009.
Gaëlle joined the AXA Group in 1998 and has held several leadership roles over the years. She oversaw corporate sales development at AXA Investment Managers till 2000 when she took up the role as Executive Assistant to the President and Boards Secretary at the Head Office until 2004. She was Head of Investment Operations, Head of Strategy and Audit for AXA Japan Life insurance and a member of the Management Committee from 2005 to 2009.Gaëlle began her career at Credit Lyonnais working on the financial engineering of equity derivative products.
Gaëlle is a graduate of Ecole Polytechnique, ENSAE and a chartered actuary from the Institut des Actuaires.
