Christian Jaramillo has undergraduate studies in Physics and Mechanical Engineering at Universidad de los Andes, and Master’s Degree and PHD in Economics from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor.
With more than 20 years experience in both public and private sector, he’s also served as DeputyDirector at Colombia’s National Statistical Department – DANE, for its Spanish initials, and Director of Organizational Management at Colombia’s National Customs and Taxes Department- DIAN.
In the Energy sector, he carried out duties as expert commissioner at Colombia’s Energy and Gas Regulation Commission – CREG from years 2015 to 2020 and as Executive Director from july 2018 to January 2020. Jaramillo also has experience in the academic field as professor in the Faculty of Economics at Universidad de los Andes and currently he is also professor at Universidad del Rosario.
