Mr. Aset Irgaliyev (35) was appointed as Chairman of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms. Previously, he held several positions in the Government including Minister of National Economy, First Vice-Minister of National Economy, Deputy Head of the Prime-Minister’s Office, Vice-Minister of National Economy, Advisor to the Prime-Minister. In 2013-2016 he held managerial positions at the Institute of Economic Research, and before that he worked at EBRD in London. He graduated from the Kazakhstan Institute of Management, Economics and Strategic Research in 2008 with a degree in economics, in 2009 he graduated from the York University and in 2010 – University of Nottingham.
