Ms. Annick Muhama’s responsibilities include spearheading the implementation of the Ministry’s mission in the Energy Sector. She has over 10 years’ experience in Energy, having served in various positions in the Government of Rwanda from 2003 with Energy as her sole focus.

Prior to joining MININFRA, Ms. Annick has served as the Director of Energy Regulation at the Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authority (RURA) where she was coordinating all technical regulatory activities of the energy sector and advised on policy measures and strategies required for efficient technical regulation of the Energy Sector. In her capacity as the Director of Energy Regulation, she also served as the Chair of the Oil and Gas Portfolio Committee of the “Regional Association of Energy Regulators for Eastern and Southern Africa” (RAERESA) and the Technical Portfolio Committee of the “Energy Regulators’ Association of East Africa” (EREA). She also worked for the then Unit for the Promotion and Exploitation of Lake Kivu methane gas (UPEGAZ) under the Ministry of Infrastructure.

Ms. Annick holds a Master of Science in “Environmental and Energy Management” from the University of Twente (The Netherlands) and a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Chemical Engineering from BMS College of Engineering, Bangalore-India.
