An economist by training, Amit has worked extensively on education, labor markets, skills development, and social protection, as well as results-based financing. He has held various positions in South Asia and in the Social Protection Anchor Unit, his most recent assignment being Director of the Education Global Practice.
Amit holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Brown University.
