Alicja Messerszmidt joined PAK Kopalnia Węgla Brunatnego Konin S.A., a lignite mine company in the Wielkopolska region of Poland, in 1976. For more than 30 years, she has been an active member of the company’s leading trade union ZZ Kadra and now she serves as the union’s Chairwoman. Alicja Messerszmidt is a graduate of the Mining Technical School in Konin.
