Alex Habershon is the Program Manager and Global Lead for Anticorruption in the Governance Global Practice of the World Bank. She has helped advance the anticorruption goals of the World Bank for over fifteen years, leading global policy engagements and knowledge, analytics, and capacity building initiatives. In her previous role as Manager of Prevention, Risk & Knowledge in the Integrity Vice Presidency she led multidisciplinary teams to advance data driven approaches to identifying corruption risk, and sector-based approaches to preventing corruption in projects. She has led or co-authored anticorruption publications and provided technical support to governments in strengthening income and asset declaration systems, conflict of interest prevention regulations, beneficial ownership transparency, and whistleblower protections. She was the World Bank Observer on the Board of the Infrastructure Transparency Initiative (CoST) from 2018-2021, and Coordinator of the World Bank’s International Corruption Hunters Alliance (ICHA) – a global alliance of anticorruption practitioners, from 2012-2018. Alexandra has a Ph.D. in Cultural Studies from Georgetown University.
