Prior to the appointment, Zou served as Commissioner of the National Supervisory Commission, China’s highest anti-corruption agency, since March 2018, Vice Minister of Supervision from March 2017, and previously Head of Discipline Inspection Group of Foreign Affairs Office, CPC Central Committee between 2016-2017. During 2009-2015, Zou was Director-General of Ministry of Finance’s Department of International Economic Relations and was promoted to Assistant Minister in 2015. Zou also served as Executive Director for China at the World Bank Group from 2005-2009; Alternate Chinese ED from 1999-2000; and Adviser to Chinese ED from 1996-1999. Zou holds a master’s degree in International Economic Relations from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
