Mr Zahid Hussain serves as the Secretary, Environment Protection Department, Punjab province of Pakistan since 2020. Prior to this, he has held important provincial posts including Director General, Excise and Taxation; Commissioner, Overseas Pakistanis Commission; and Additional Secretary to the Governor, Punjab. Mr Hussain has a Master’s degree in English Literature from University of the Punjab in Lahore, and joined the Punjab Provincial Secretariat Service in 1991.
