Mr. Yota Ono is Alternate Vice Finance Minister for International Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Government of Japan, who mainly oversees climate finance, APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) Finance Ministers’ Process, and some bilateral financial cooperation of the Government of Japan. Prior to the current position, he served in the senior management in the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Government of Japan, especially in the areas of energy and natural resources management, including Director-General for Oil, Gas and Mineral Resources and Deputy Commissioner for International Affairs at the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy.
Mr. Ono holds a B.A. in Law from University of Tokyo and M.B.A. in Graduate School, Columbia University.
