Yaw Frimpong Addo, Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture (Crops), Ghana. Mr. Yaw Frimpong Addo is currently the Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture (Crops) and a Member of the 8th Parliament of Ghana after retaining his seat in the last general election in December 2020. In the 8th Parliament, he is a member of Committee on Poverty Reduction Strategy and, Environment, Science and Technology. He has been the Chairman of the Environment, Science and Technology Select Committee and Government Assurance Committee of the 7th Parliament. He was also a member of Special Budget and Government Assurance Committees of the Parliament of Ghana. He is also an active member of the Committee on Food, Agriculture and Cocoa Affairs. Prior to becoming a Legislator, Mr. Yaw Frimpong Addo had over 20 years’ experience in Development Consulting with an in-depth knowledge in Environmental and Social Impact Assessment of Projects. He is a medium scale farmer (Cocoa and Oil palm) in his home village, Manso Gyeduako in the Amansie South District of the Ashanti Region of Ghana. His passion is to increase high productivity amongst small holder farmers to improve their livelihood.
