Stephen Winkler

Stephen Winkler is a Social Development Specialist in the Social Sustainability and Inclusion (SSI) global practice. He manages a research program on forced displacement and supports analytical and advisory work on inclusion, social cohesion, and human trafficking. Stephen also provides technical expertise on the monitoring and evaluation of Community-Driven Development operations globally, including in Afghanistan, Myanmar, South Sudan, and Tajikistan. Stephen holds a Ph.D. in Political Science and, prior to joining the World Bank, he led the research and programs department for an NGO in Kenya.
