Stéphanie Bouckaert

Stéphanie Bouckaert is Head of Demand Sectors Unit at the International Energy Agency (IEA) in Paris. She is coordinating the analysis and modelling of the end-use sectors (industry, transport, buildings) for the IEA’s flagship World Energy Outlook. She is a co-author of the IEA’s report Net Zero by 2050 – A Roadmap for the Global Energy Sector, published in May 2021. She has also contributed to various analyses and reports related to energy demand, energy efficiency and climate. Ms. Bouckaert obtained a master’s degree in mechanical engineering, from the Université catholique de Louvain, Belgium, as well as a master’s degree specializing in energy systems optimization (OSE) and a PhD in applied mathematics from MINES ParisTech, France.
