Stanley Simpson is a Director of Mai TV, Director of media production house Business Media, and is currently the editor of monthly magazine Fiji Plus.
He is an award-winning journalist with over 20 years’ experience in Fiji and the region’s media and communications space.
Simpson completed a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and History/Politics from the University of the South Pacific in 1999.
Simpson has delved in a range of fields from civil society, media, corporate communications, and as a media entrepreneur.
He was formerly Assistant Director at the Pacific Concerns Resource Centre, Coordinator of the Pacific Network on Globalisation, Media and Communications Associate for the United Nations Development Program and Public Affairs and Communications Manager for Namosi Joint Venture managed by Newcrest Mining.
He was editor and founder of magazines Fiji Living, Mai Life magazine and Business Melanesia, and is a former News Director of the Fiji Broadcasting Corporation.
He has hosted current affairs programs on all three Fiji television stations, on Close Up for Fiji TV, For the Record for FBC and Simpson at 7 and Simpson at 8 on Mai TV.
He has won top journalism awards in Fiji and the region, is currently the general secretary of the Fijian Media Association, and is also a board member of the Pacific Islands News Association (PINA).
