Silvia Muzi joined the World Bank Group in 2007 and is currently the Program Coordinator of the Enterprise Analysis Unit-Development Economics Vice-Presidency. Enterprise Surveys provide the world's most comprehensive company-level data for emerging markets and developing economies. Enterprise Surveys data are available on more than 135,000 firms in over 139 countries. The data are used to create indicators that measure firm performance and the quality of the business environment across countries from the perspective of both female and male entrepreneurs. Previously, she worked in the Middle East and North Africa Region and in the Human Development Network. Silvia holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Rome La Sapienza. Her research interests include measurements of the business environment and private sector development with a specific attention to female entrepreneurship; policy and regulatory issues; and innovation.
