Shamali de Silva is the Chief Counsel for Operations and Policy at the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA). She has worked on complex and transformational projects across regions and sectors, particularly in infrastructure, energy and mining projects.
Prior to joining MIGA, Ms. De Silva worked as an attorney in law firms in London, Washington and Colombo in the practice area of corporate law.
Ms. De Silva is an Attorney-at-Law from Sri Lanka and holds an LL.M from the Washington College of Law of the American University and a Masters’ Degree in law and urban panning from the University of Maryland. She is also a Solicitor admitted in U.K. and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of U.K.
