Salah Ahmed Jama is the Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia. Salah previously served as the Minister of Labour and as the Minister of Constitutional Affairs.
Prior to working in government, Jama worked in the community development sector with a focus on youth employment and immigration services in Canada. In academia he worked as a researcher and teaching assistant at Carleton University’s Political Science Department where he published articles on development and democratization policies.
Salah is a graduate of Carleton University and holds a master’s and bachelor’s degrees in political science and developmental studies.
