Roshaneh Zafar is the Founder and President of Kashf Foundation, one of Pakistan’s foremost institutions for women. Her work focuses on addressing systemic inequalities faced by women in accessing financial independence, integrating financial inclusion with business training, community development and even addressing cultural barriers through media initiatives. She is also a part of the UN’s Advisors Group on Inclusive Financial Sectors and the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council. She has received the Sitara-i-Imtiaz, the Skoll Award and Schwab Foundation Entrepreneur Award. She also sits on the Board of Kinnaird College and the BEES Network for South Asia, where she continues to advocate for women’s empowerment. Roshaneh holds a Master’s degree in Development Economics from Yale University and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Economics from Wharton Business School.  Read more
