Robert Beyer is a macroeconomist at the South Asia Office of the Chief Economist at the World Bank. He is the lead author of the biannual macroeconomic update for South Asia entitled South Asia Economic Focus and leads the South Asia Economic Policy Network. Before joining the World Bank in 2016, he conducted research at the European Central Bank and the International Monetary Fund and completed a Ph.D. at Goethe University Frankfurt. He has published several papers in peer reviewed journals, for example in the Journal of International Money and Finance and in Economic Policy.
