Raaga Akkineni is the Manager of 2025 World bank Group Youth Summit – which is one of the largest annual gatherings of youth organized by youth at the World Bank Group to engage globally on the most pressing issues facing our generation. Starting of as a volunteer in 2022, Raaga took on the role of Pitch Competition Co-Lead in 2023 and Deputy Manager in 2024. She shares her passion with the vision and mission of the Youth Summit, that is to empower youth to explore innovative ideas tackling development challenges and promoting dialogue between the youth, the WBG and other key stakeholders in the development space globally.
Raaga is also a Research Analyst with the IFC's Impact Reporting team (CDIIR) working towards providing data and evidence based impact evaluations to IFC's private sector investments. Prior to joining IFC, she worked as a Research Assistant World Bank’s Development Impact Evaluation (DECDI) unit, where she focused on assessing the impact of World Bank projects, particularly in space of economic inclusion and opportunity sector. Raaga also previously worked on World Development Report 2022 and Global Findex Database 2021. She joined the World Bank Group in 2021 and holds a Master of Arts in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics from New York University.
