Ousseynou Diop

Dr. Diop started his career public servant career in Senegal as Health Economist at the Health Ministry as Coordinator of the Health Financing and Partnership Support Unit, which later became the Senegalese Universal Health Coverage Agency. Since 2013 Dr. Diop is at the Délégation Générale à la Protection Sociale et à la Solidarité Nationale, where currently he holds the position of Director of the Registre National Unique (National Social Registry). Dr. Diop has experience in the design and implementation of targeted programs (including cash transfers, emergency cash transfers and health insurance), and  on the development of Social Registries, which are core elements for the Senegalese Adaptive Social Protection approach and response to COVID-19.
